Dr Chua Xiuzhen is a General Paediatrician and a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH, United Kingdom). She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and was subsequently conferred the Masters of Paediatric Medicine. She also received certification from the American Board of Medical Specialties (Singapore) and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).

Dr Chua was working in the Department of Paediatrics in the National University Hospital (NUH) prior to joining the Kids Clinic. Her care and love for her patients and their families set them at ease. Parents felt empowered during her consultations, providing them with the confidence to care for their sick children.

Led by her interest in growth and nutrition, she continued to further her skills and was conferred the title of “Early Nutrition Specialist” by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She is also adept in the assessment and treatment of children with feeding difficulties using the Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) approach.

While working in NUH, Dr Chua also actively participated in the education of future doctors and paediatricians. She was also a clinical tutor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS. In line with her advocacy for children’s health, growth and development, Dr Chua participated in public health screenings and clinical research. She has also published in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and was invited as an oral speaker at an international platform.

With a strong belief in optimising every child’s potential, Dr Chua is dedicated to providing personalised care for children and their families. Being a trained Brazelton touchpoint provider, Dr Chua pays special attention to applying the knowledge of early childhood development to her practice, with the goal of empowering parents to feel confident in parenting, and for them to form strong, resilient bonds with their children. Her eagerness to see every child and parent succeed fuels her relentless pursuit to consistently provide holistic care with a personal touch.
